Identity Capture

A primary challenge in developing identity capture systems is meeting the high spatial resolution and illumination requirements of both iris and face recognition standards. Until recently, this challenge led manufacturers of identity capture systems to focus on a single biometric and to require a high level of cooperation from subjects because this was the surest way to obtain high quality images. For example, subjects must either precisely position themselves and remain still for a noticeable length of time or pass through a portal one person at a time. Naturally, these cumbersome requirements limit the appeal and acceptance of most identity capture systems on the market.

Retica understands that the widespread adoption of identity capture systems hinges on the quality of the subject experience.

With this question firmly in mind, Retica designed and developed an identity capture device to meet the following criteria:
